  Weed is illegal in Indiana for adult use and for general medical use (illegal). Possessing any amount is a Class B misdemeanor under IC 35-48-4-11, with up to 180 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. A prior drug conviction raises the charge. Weed bought in another state is still illegal once you cross into Indiana.

  Weed is legal for adults 21 and older in Ohio (legal, adult use) since December 7, 2023, after voters passed Issue 2 on November 7. An adult may possess 2.5 ounces of marijuana plus 15 grams of extract (Ohio State Moritz College of Law). Smoke at a private home: public use is a crime since March 20, 2026.
